Last week, well known credit scoring company Equifax revealed they had fallen victim to Cyber Criminals, with the data of millions of customers potentially breached world wide.

It's easy to think things like this will never happen to you, however, if it did, and it could, what impact could it have on you or your business?

Here are some simple tips to prevent Cyber attacks:

*Keep Software up to date

*Install Anti-virus

*Keep multiple back up's

*Use strong passwords or passphrases

*Use two factor authentication

*Consider using a password manager

*NEVER write down your passwords

If you are a business looking into stronger Cyber Security, Cyber Essentials is a government-backed cyber security certification scheme that sets out a good baseline of cyber security suitable for all organisations in all sectors. The scheme addresses five key controls that, when implemented correctly, can prevent around 80% of cyber attacks.

Prevention is always better than cure, and cheaper!
