Thu 06th, Dec

Two men from Luton have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after five warrants were carried out in Luton yesterday (Wednesday).

The warrants were carried out by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) and Bedfordshire Police as part of an investigation into suspected illegal drugs supply. They were supported by the UK Anti-Doping agency and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. Officers seized a large quantity of what are suspected to be Class C prescription only drugs and steroids, along with an amount of cash. Detective Sergeant Kelly Gray, from ERSOU, said: “This was a joint operation to tackle suspected illegal drugs supply in Bedfordshire and I’d like to thank all those involved for their work which led to these arrests and seizures. “The pedalling of any type of illicit substances can be extremely harmful so we will continue to work alongside our partner agencies to tackle this type of crime and prevent further harm.” The two men, who were arrested on suspicion with intent to supply Class C drugs, have been released under investigation pending further enquiries
